Alaska Division of Insurance Seeking New Director

February 22, 2012

Alaska Division of Insurance has launched a search for a new director now that Linda Hall, who ran the division for nine years, is retiring this spring.

“I will continue working through the legislative session, will assist with the transition, and look forward to retirement and time with my family,” Hall said in a statement.

During Hall’s tenure, the division’s financial examination section received an outstanding reaccreditation review, affirming the state’s ability to analyze the financial solvency of insurers, according to the division, which currently licenses more than 39,000 producers.

The 51-person Division of Insurance is a member of Alaska’s Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development. The department consists of six divisions and six corporate agencies.
