We at Boeing have new firefighting product that is about to enter the market. It is called PCADS (Precision Container Aerial Delivery System). It is designed to convert normal cargo airplanes into aerial firefighters. We hope to conduct a demonstration with the Wyoming Air National Guard this fall. Hopefully, state ANG units will see the merit in this system and purchase it for their respective states. PCADS could save many of the high-risk homesteads mentioned in this article.
