PRIUM, a workers’ compensation utilization review and medical management company, has named Angela J. Hefner vice president of business development.
Based in the Los Angeles area, Hefner is responsible for developing new client relationships, leading account executive and account management teams and delivering educational content to clients.
She has more than 30 years of managed care experience, mostly in workers’ comp, with a background that includes strategic account management, training and implementation, sales, operations management and technical liaison roles.
Most recently, Hefner served as assistant vice president for account management for Healthcare Solution’s Cypress Care, where she managed client relationships involving workers’ compensation pharmacy benefit management, case management, durable medical equipment and ancillary services. Previously, she worked for CorVel Corp. in a national account management role. Hefner began her career in workers’ comp managed care with Corporate Systems Ltd., starting as a training specialist and eventually becoming director of Genesys Service Center Operations.
Based in Duluth, Ga., PRIUM services include a comprehensive complex claims control program, with an emphasis on opioid control.
