Hey here is an idea. Instead of suing, just return it and get your money back! Less drama. More common sense.

Are these the attorneys that filed a lawsuit against McDonalds a long time ago over the spilled Hot Coffee?

THIS sounds like a case of lawyer with too much time on his hands… and btw the McDonalds coffee case actually involved the woman receiving 3rd degree burns (pretty serious)from the spilled coffee–media made it sound more frivolous than it actually was in my opinion.

Not arguing or making a comment about the merits of the case, but I have one question however… Who in their right mind opens a cup of hot coffee between their legs while driving?

How about while parked, like what actually happened in the Liebeck case?

@Jennifer – I’m sorry, but anyone who doesn’t know HOT COFFEE is HOT, is a flat out moron. Does anyone ever drive up to the drive-through and ask for a cup of lukewarm coffee? Ummm, no. To open anything with a surface temperature of some 200 degrees between your legs a complete idiot. Considering the location of the coffee, maybe this was God’s way of telling her she isn’t bright enough to reproduce. :)

Hrm.. The whole declared space vs available space issue has been known for a long LONG time (from at least the late 70s early 80s). I never did get my full 1.44 Mbs on those 3.5 inch discs. Can I sue for all my lost storage space over the years?

I think this lawyer needs to be banned from ever owning electronic devices as he clearly doesn’t understand them.

This guy has a law degree, but no clients. If he got some clients, he wouldn’t have time for this nonsense and he’d have some money to buy more storage for his computer. Then he could use it for uh, I don’t know, WORK. Instead of downloading music. Just sayin.

Jennifer – the media BLEW up the case for the burnt person not the other way around. The media talked about the millions she won and put it on the front page. Once it was settled it was less than $500,000 and the media put that on the back pages. This is why we all have them add the cream and sugar at most places, because people didn’t realize that coffee is hot (and PS cars are heavy). The media adds to the lawsuit frenzy that we have come to know.

Less available space than advertised? That’s nothing; my boomerrang won’t come back!

This is just another case of caveat emptor.

I’m sorry, but you do your research before you buy. Anyone with even a marginal understanding of computers understands that operating systems take up memory, and that Windows is a ridiculous memory hog.

I hope that the court awards Microsoft their court costs…
