Although tragic, how is the county responsible to the tune of 50M? Sounds like a case of inadequate supervision of a child.

Me thinkith Shakespeare’s quote from Henry VI: “THE FIRST THING WE DO,LET’S KILL ALL THE LAWYERS.” has some merit for this particular member of the bar.

This is very tragic but seeking 50M is absolutely excessive. The parents should have better supervision of thier child. The article does not give all the details. What was the child doing in the roadway?

If the article in the Tucson newspaper is correct, it looks like the 10year old darted out in traffic on a busy road. Tragic, yes. I can’t even imagine how hard this is on the family, but to sue for $50mm does not honor the young boy’s memory.

There is NO honor in this. Only greed and a willingness to sue for big, while willing to accept something less. Typical shyster tactic.

If the judge in this case let’s this frivolous suit go through he should be removed from the bench. This is what drives up our costs for insurance and judicial expenses.

The local stories here indicated that witnesses reported seeing several kids, including the one hit, were playing in and darting across the street. The county should counter-sue the parents for not supervising and keeping their kids out of the street.

While tragic, this was entirely the fault of the kid darting inot traffic. While I’m sure the family may be lashing out in their pain the real crime is the shister lawyer filed this claim and suit not to benifit the family but for personal gain. Hopefully the think is tossed out and the shister has to eat all the costs for both sides!
