    Insurance Journal, your headline is wrong. There is a city in Oregon called “Oregon City”. This occurred in Medford. I think you should have had a headline “a city in Oregon sued – - -”

    So this guy wears a protective vest for fear of gangs and the police and the family doesn’t have a problem with this?
    Doesn’t seem like society lost anything here.

    The story as written does not indicate the officers behaved in a negligent manner. The call wasn’t about a potential suicide, so the officers could not be expected to arrive in counselor mode. The family should withdraw their suit.
