Better to leave the limits as posted now. A good many drivers are probably already driving at the higher speeds. Increasing from 75 to 80 will quite likely result in drivers going 90 to 100 mph instead. Speed kills.
Speeds are already higher in other states, such as Montana. Any driver going 90-100 doesn’t care about speed limits. No one is going to start driving 90-100 because the speed limit changed to 80.

Huh! statement has proven to be false. In states with higher limits the majority of the cars stick to them. People tend to drive at a safe speed.
