Coming from a family of diabetics I am questioning why she would choose chips as oppossed to juice, candy or straight sugar which would be the norm for low blood sugar and all readily available at Wallgreens? Sounds fishy to me.

Being a diabetic, in the past 15 years, doctors recognize that carbohydrates, not merely sugar will raise blood sugar. Chips is a much better alternative than sugar and candies.

EJ, you could certainly be correct that something “smells” here. However, since the story did not include what kind of chips these were, it’s also possible that she ate a bag of sugary snacks such as chex mix with caramel or something similar. Details Ins Journal, Details!!

They were lightly salted Sun Chips, French Onion I believe. It was a Tuesday, about 77 degrees with a gentle Northeasterly breeze. Lionel Richie was playing on the Musak system but there were no lyrics thus preventing anyone from becoming offended or dancing on the ceiling.

Maybe because chips are within sight of the cash register, soda and juices and even candy bars are out of sight of the register. Since there is only 1 person assigned to the front counter, she wouldn’t been able to leave the sight line of the cash register. Just a theory–
