See, this is how the big con works. Falsify climate data, lie about everything, make outlandish claims, indoctrinate mushy headed students, who go on the fill positions of authority like judges. Then these criminals file lawsuits which are extortionary in nature. They did it with Trump with lawsuits about immigration which the constitution and Federal law clearly lays out. It’s disgusting. We are losing out country to a bunch of idiots and losers.

In the ’70’s, geology professors were telling us about the rise and fall of sea levels. Even a University of Wisconsin geology professor said that same thing in their video learning class on their public broadcasting station. Guess it’s convenient to ignore information that doesn’t serve your purpose.

If those counties and cities feel that way about petrochemicals then Chevron Corp, ConocoPhillips, Exxon Mobil Corp, BP Plc, and Royal Dutch Shell Plc, should pull their products from those cities and counties. This way the residents of those areas will be satisfied knowing that they are not contributing to the perceived problem.

Lou, Sam, and Scott are certainly all different and real people that really exist and aren’t contrived by a single actor. They definitely aren’t “just different enough” to seem distinct, pay no heed to the myriad markers. Nobody can see through this, because it isn’t a ruse.

Deceit in discourse, no matter how highly one esteems their own cause, is lowly, vile, and worthy of our disdain regardless of whether or not we agree with the cause. I’m sure you believe you’re better than this, so prove it to us. Do better. Be better.

True Climate Scientists who are honest know the following: nearly every Climate Model has been wrong, and nearly all of them wrong in predicting more warming than we are seeing in reality, based on the amount of CO2 going into the atmosphere. This was clear in the 2014 report from the IPCC, as reported by Climate Change-believing scientists. The warming is not as great as predicted, and so the future predictions of doom may also be wrong. (Settled Science, don’t you know.)

Suing fossil fuel companies stops Climate Change how, pray tell? By raising the cost of energy? Sounds great for poor and middle class people, but when you are saving the planet, we all have to sacrifice I guess.

If they are going to call me a name like “Denier” for actually thinking about Climate Change, then I think I will start calling them “Zealots” or “Delusional” for not thinking about it. Seems fair.

Literally almost 100% of climate scientists and climate studies by them confirm climate change. The models have mostly underestimated the effects. Just be honest and say it’s your religion and nothing will make you believe it.

        @Kim Jong UW:

Please state exactly how much climate models have underestimated CO2 projections. A range would suffice. Provide credible sources of substantiation.

Debating isn’t contradicting someone without offering support.

Let’s be honest and say you’re not offering ANYTHING to the discussion until you offer supporting facts.

See the IPCC Report from 2014. Google it and read it. In it you
will find some amazing things. For one, the IPCC (the gold standard for reporting on Climate Science) said that the range of possible outcomes for warming had grown larger since the last report. Meaning the confidence level had gone down. And where did the results widen? On the side of less warming, not more. In other words, for you statistics fans, the possibilities are now greater that there will be very little impact from Climate Change. (But hey, when dealing with people who “demand something credible”, nothing will suffice to make them smarter. . .)

BS. What the report finds is warming of the atmosphere and ocean are undeniably happening, most of the changes since 1950 are at an historic rate and with 95-100% certainty human activity is the reason for most of the change. This has increased from other reports. What you are referencing is that they have conservative, moderate, “extreme,” and likely projections, and the conservative has been lowered. This was done in relation to other drafts. You grab this, because it confirms your religion which is anti-climate change, and think that makes all their other projections unreliable. This is full-blown dotarded to say the least.

Here is the response to the claim you make about the models being wrong:

“What we do in our line of work is we beat down that short term noise of natural climate variability by looking at changes over long sweeps of time. This claim is classic cherrypicking — it’s treating IPCC results from previous assessments as predictions rather than projections, and exploiting short-term climate noise to argue that there’s some fundamental mismatch between the models and observations. If that were right, you’d see evidence of such a mismatch over long sweeps of time, but we don’t.”

And then even further followed by?

Just be honest and say it’s your religion and nothing will make you believe it.”

So you don’t know anything, nevertheless because 100% of people don’t know the anything you admitted they don’t know, and they are the authority, anyone who doesn’t believe what you believe, is a heretic.

Who is the religious zealot here?

Regarding the amount of climate change we also see that many in politics have over exaggerated it, and even those in the supposed nearly 100% you mention have repeatedly told people to stop misrepresenting their work.

    Hey UW?

How much of the change is from humans, according to the IPCC report? What is the percentage that is natural and what is the percentage that is man-caused?

    When will this damage happen?

    How bad will it be?

Since it is all Settled Science, according to Gore/Obama/Clinton, et al., when will all this destruction happen and what exactly will happen?

According to the IPCC, with 95% confidence most of the change in temperature since 1951 is due to humans. Their best estimate is that humans have caused 100% of that global warming. Other prominent studies have shown human influences were responsible for 150% of the warming, with much being offset by natural cooling.

The damage is already happening, that’s obvious to even the least informed. It’s not “settled science” according to your 3 Satans in your actual religion it’s the absolute scientific consensus according to almost 100% of climate scientists and published work. People recently went back and looked at the 3% in the Cook et al study which didn’t confirm man-made climate change and found every single one of them had serious data, math or coding errors, and when fixed they too confirmed it. It’s not a stretch to say all science confirms this.

If you deny it at this point it’s on faith, not data, and I have no interest debating religion.

Exactly when will I die? Will I suffer for days or die instantly? What country will I be in? What time will it be? Will anybody else die that I’m near? Will I be looking at the sky or be in the middle of sneezing when it happens?

This is similar to what you’re asking UW right now. Trying to argue the science can’t prove exact details about something they know will happen in the future is just like me claiming I won’t actually die because you can’t tell me exactly when and where and how.

Also, what are the damages and when, considering the entire globe? They don’t care. Nothing can ever change their minds; conservatives were forever climate change deniers once Al Gore helped publicize it, because he’s a Democrat and one of their primary ideologies is being against Democrats and liberals. So they try to be pithy but it’s usually sad, because they aren’t very bright on the whole. It’s a religious belief for them.

Laughable. You ignored my questions. When are we going to suffer? How much? (Ie. “most” is not “100%” or “150%”, and if it is all just a “best estimate”, what are the odds nothing will happen. Try to be consistent please, when you are making stuff up.)

The odds nothing will happen are 0-1%, it’s already undeniable we are warming. The odds the vast majority to all of the change is not from man is at the absolute highest probability, 5%.

If you had q basic understanding of statistics, which is an absolute requirement to discuss, analyze or critique this, you would know your serious questions are already answered above. You don’t, so you didn’t.

The question about how you will die is stupid, but I certainly have my own opinion and preferences on it. Climate denialism has moved into the realm where only hardcore, unintelligent losers support it.

I call BS, total BS. You are just making stuff up.

Have you given up air conditioning? The NY Times reports that air conditioning is the greatest contributor to CO2 emissions world wide. My guess: no way, just like all the other Climate Zealots. All talk, no walk.

Did you see that all the coastal liberals are selling their ocean front property and prices are collapsing due to fears about, you know . . . (NOT!)

Hilarious. Living in fear of the boogey man, and unashamed about making up things to keep the boogey man alive.

At least people who believe in God can’t find anyone who can absolutely prove that God does not exist. In your case, the science is everywhere, confirming the vast complexity of Climate Science, making predictions of doom just laughable.

As proven by how people live in reality. “Crank up the air conditioning and get my private jet ready.” Al Gore
