The future of insurance is not in the hands of millennials. It is in the hands of the need for some level of certainty in our futures. I just reached the ripe old age of 65 last week and always laugh at all the articles talking about who is retiring and why the millennials aren’t rushing to become the next insurance worker bees. If there is a need for security and a level of certainty someone will take it upon themselves to join an industry that tries to provide that. There are a number of millennials that are willing to work in an industry that is not sexy, glamou-rous or whatever someone thinks attracts them. Our industry is made up of a lot of people who did not think about insurance as a career, but, somehow found it and enjoy it. I plan on working another five years so you youngsters will have to wait. But, who cares as I am on my way to “happy hour” myself and I will have a “cold one” to celebrate that this industry will fall into good hands. However, that will not happen next week.

Great article! we really do need an insurance, it gives us a lots of benefits. What ever insurance you have it sure will help you in the future, actually I just realize this one not long ago after I got into a car accident. Without my Insurance oh! boy I will tell you, I will pay more money than you expected, good thing JS Downey helped me out and I didn’t need to spend that much.. To secure your future, I will say Insurance is a big help!!
