    And don’t forget to address tow companies who practice dumping cheaper calls, even if they’re already en route, for a more expensive call where they can make more money on the tow (like Highway Patrol calls, for example). This leaves the motorist who thought the tow truck would arrive in a reasonable time stranded, frustrated, scared, upset, etc. Regulation is needed. It would be nice if tow operators regulated themselves, but most of them don’t or won’t. They should at least lose their right to work for the insurers they’re contracted with.

      What are these practices? I’ve never heard about this before? I am pretty new though.

      IN what area are you? and do you see these practices happen often in your area?
