Re: Hiring - CSR

Oh my, where do I start? If you intend to keep your agency E&O insurance and your current and prospective clients, may I suggest you be a little more selective when hiring you CSR than hiring a Dairy Queen or grocery store clerk. I can't even believe anyone would think that a person with a back...

I think I agree with the Dairy Queen comment to a point. As the single owner of my agency, I have been looking to "hire" someone as well, and I will admit I've made offers to some of those ppl working behind a counter and I'll tell you why. What I've been looking for is PERSONALITY. You do...

I understood your original question, but now since you say you're with "the big 4", I'm not so sure why you're even asking any of us. Aren't they giving you any guidelines? I mean, I'm sure you have quotas to meet, but arent' they giving you a gameplan? I find it hard to believe they've th...

Well, I got my reason for the non-listing; they haven't "gotten around to it". Gee, if I "don't get around to" filing paperwork on time or anything else to do with insurance, do I not get zapped?

Funny how this stuff only works one way, huh? Thanks for the replies.

Even through we all get a ton of direct mail and cold calls about agent E&O, I still find that my state association has the cheapest coverage there is, and if you're lucky, you can sell it to yourself through agency services and get a commission! How sweet is that???

Keep it up is about the only advice you need right now. I just hope you're dressing well and driving a clean car. These first impressions you're getting now are what will determine how soon you can stop beating the bushes so hard. Some here will say you never stop beating the bushes and looking for ...

Due to sales closing restrictions inherent to crop insurance, 9/30 will be the next possible time I can move them.

why won't they list me???

One crop company I write for was bought by another. This new company refuses to list me as an agent, but will instead list the agent who doesn't want to write the product. What should I do?

Re: Thanks Sweetie

I did not mention the contract is with a different corporation signed by a non-officer of that corp. As well collectibility typically assists greatly with negotiating a settlement considering a certain corp has a UCC filing against it's assets properly filed in 2000. HUH??? Are you sure you're not ...

I wish you good luck in your endeavor; it's not that this is or isn't a "get rich quick" business, b/c it can be just that. What I was trying to get across to you, and I think others will agree with me, is to not let the visions of your retirement cottage cloud your view so that you fail t...
