Per project E&O for Architects and Engineers

Good morning folks, I'm a retail agent in Washington State and I am looking for a market willing to write Architects and Engineers E&O policies on a per project basis. I have a client who thinks this might be the better way for them to provide their coverage. I believe an annualized policy will ...

Re: WC account Losses 189 X-mod hard class codes

BBSI is Barrett Business Services Inc. and you can reach one of their offices at 909-605-6862. I worked with Matt there for a few years and they are quite good! With your time crunch on this account however, they won't be able to help you. They usually need at least a few days as they want to pre-in...

Re: carriers for multistate trucking/warehousing work comp

You might want to check into Alaska National out of Seattle. This might not fit due to the high mod but last I knew they were a good market for the large deductible accounts...

Re: WC account Losses 189 X-mod hard class codes

Might need to consider a move to a PEO as well. There are several PEO's that might look at something like this, especially if it is NOT a frequency issue but more one of severity. Find a PEO which is well established, over 15 years, and let them do their thing... They will probably demand loss contr...

Re: Contractor License Question

I would think having a contractor working under another's license and initiating new policies under that license could also create a potential 'double indemnity' issue in which the licensee could be provided coverage under both their policy and that of the other contractor. So I would say this scena...

Re: Unfair Competition amongst brokers

Agreed, take the high road here... Exert YOUR ethics! Reminds me of the story of the small town barber who had a large 'franchise' shop move in right across the street from him, and bagan stealing his clients by advertising "We give $6.00 haircuts".. Well thinking swiftly the barber then p...

Re: Designation Suggestions

I would agree they do seem similar. The CIC requires 5 courses of 20hrs each with a 2 hr essay exam to pass each one. The AAI is in 3 courses, when I studied it we did 12 classes per each course at 2 1/2 hrs per class over the course of a year. As far as the content for the CIC I have no experience,...

Re: Designation Suggestions

I would also suggest you consider the AAI designation. It offers a broad based induction into many various areas of incurance and agency management. I feel confident clients and prospects respond to the AAI designation and once they're told it stands for Accredited Advisor in Insurance, it lends a g...

Assuming the Property goes with the GL, I would also recommend EPLI and what about abuse and molestation? Is the A and M covered under the GL?

Re: Reliable Car Insurance Quotes

Accelery, My recommendation is to call a local agent. While many of these sites may be reliable in purchasing insurance, what they will NOT do for you is help identify coverage and exposures you may or may not have, and that's where an experienced and knowledgeable agent can prove invaluable. Consid...
