I haven't seen CIG through any wholesalers. We have a direct appointment.
We place our condo buildings with Allied and Travelers usually - is that what you're looking for.

Re: Certificates of Insurance ???
Send out the forms, put the burden on the Cert Holder to raise the questions. Not sending out the forms lets the Cert Holder interpret that they are covered for everything!

Re: Course of Construction for non licensed contractor
This might be out of left field... But it could work. What if the owner/builder hires a GC to come in and supervise the builder/project, with a much smaller fee? The GC would be doing minimal work... Maybe he charges 1% of building costs instead of 12-20%. Basically you're hiring someone to come in ...

Re: Workers Comp (Ca) Auto Repair with large loss
Hi Paul,
I think this one is probably best with SCIF for now. Unfortunately it's the triple whammy of non-renewal, large loss, and newer business.
I would be curious if you could find a home for it... Please share if you can. Good luck -

Re: Garagekeepers Coverage - Florida Account
Unfortunately, no one wins in this situation. My advice is to stay away from Legal Liability when writing GKL. Direct Primary is the way to go. It is in the insured's best interest to pay a little bit more money and get Direct Primary. Hopefully you explained or wrote out to the insured the differen...

Re: 1st Year as a Producer Stories
Rainmaker, thank you for the advice. I am 9 months in so far and excited to hit year 2 soon. For me, the hardest part of being a new producer is policy knowledge and carrier appetites. I will be starting either my CIC or AAI after I get married in August. I've kept track of what is working, here is ...

Acord eForms - TAM
Hi All,
Is there any way to download Acord eForms without having to pay an additional access fee? We pay to use Applied (TAM) and their eForm, but I'm looking for another option... Where I can view the actual Acord and input data instead of using the various screens.
Thank you.

Re: 1st Year as a Producer Stories
Great feedback all around... Now- here is the question: I am 4 months in. Should I start with CISR, or start with CIC. I am not a CSR but I've read that the CISR coursework is a good intro to the CIC. I am Commercial lines 80% personal 20% with independent agency. Any feedback is appreciated. I am d...

Re: 1st Year as a Producer Stories
Thank you all for the responses... Very good stuff! For a first year independent agent, what do you think the premium goal should be? I know it depends on what type of business you are after. We are 80% P&C and 20% Life/Health. Most of what we go after is main street business and personal lines....
