What do you do when the new customer from State Farm asks you to write their home policy?

Don't talk to this guy. He works for an insurance company. Who benefits? The insurance company by not paying commissions. Who gets screwed? The brokerage and staff. Dude go away.

Thanks but no. We will take the commission. We do a lot more than sell a policy. That is just the start.

I would try and make it on your own if you can. What are the terms? I heard it's like 10K down and they take 1% of your commission. If you can't get appointments go through MGA's to build your book. It mite take a year but it's better in the long run.

If you are having problems getting preferred appointments try NIA in Grass Valley. They are a cluster and have great appointments like Hartford, Travelers, Kemper, First American, Encompass and more.
