Re: DMV filing and 30 day notice of cancellation
Our new carrier has agreed to rewrite to a later effective date so that was good news for the insured. Oh, and one other item I forgot to mention was that the incumbent sent us a Hold Harmless agreement for our carrier to sign which would hold them harmless from inception of our policy date through ...

DMV filing and 30 day notice of cancellation
OK, so I have a client whom has a commercial fleet of vehicles and had a DMV filing done with their incumbent Auto Carrier. My agency quoted and won their account saving the client close to $20,000. But when he tried to cancel his existing policy, the incumbent is playing hardball and basically exto...

I would also suggest you try Cossio insurance. They were able to do full GL for me on a Bouncey House account for me so I would think they could do this too... Shagster

2 best options:
1) Philadelphia Insurance
2) VGM is an East based program that also writes Ca. risks.
I have used both with several clients and have found no other real competition.

Re: CSR service desk volume
Thank you for the responses. Brenda, you must be Superwoman indeed. As a former Producer I have seen CSRs fail handling half that volume on 30 accounts.... I was truly expecting to need to staff 2-3 CSR's. But I guess to find one of you would then be priceless! Thank you for your input I am amazed a...

CSR service desk volume
Good afternoon all, I am looking for an idea of what should be expected of a CSR to be able to handle as far as their workload. So here's my question, a small agency with appx. $2,000,000 premium volume split between personal lines and commercial accounts. Total number of accounts appx. 300 personal...

Re: "I don't want to tell you my current premiums"
Agreed, most of the time this is going to be a time waster. But, I will give them 2 more chances to cooperate by trying 2 other approaches: 1) Find out if they're shopping multiple Agents, if so walk away. Explain to them they're hurting themselves by shopping multiple agents because the underwriter...

Ca. mobile operations market for Work Comp
Good day all,
I am needing a market to replace Markel on a work comp policy for a mobile paint less dent removal operation in Cali.
No losses, $70,000 payroll. PEO is not an option, any other suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shagster

If you're still having difficulty placing this account I would contact Bliss and Glennon. They helped me place several Yacht cleaners recently. These were all new ventures with no prior who were now being required to show prrof of coverage to the Yacht Club where the boats are docked. Not exactly th...
