You should originally sign up with an MGA, he has made a committment to life insurer and will 'usually' pay a higher commission than if you were to license directly with insurer. You cannot promise, starting out, something you have never done. You mentioned no need for bankroll.....that is mostly tr...

To the way you see things maybe. But the other party sees things differently. Bottom line...do you have to pay some kind of fine? Are you gonna serve any time? Or is this just about some negativity about a competitor? Get on with your life, smile and be filled with joy. All you effort in this worthl...

This has nothing to do with GEICO, and everything to do with the preponderance of evidence against you. Two witnesses to One. Sorry you may be the nicest person on the planet but a case is usually decided on the strength of the evidence, usually but not always(I.E. OJ)

Name calling. It is ok to call you Scott, but not what you are by nature which is a hypocrit. You have called ALL COMMISSION SALES PEOPLE UNTRUSTWORTHY,( it could not have been you who was untrustworthy, it was everyone else who earns commissions) and hold yourself out to be above everyone else. A h...

Scott, Just read your first post on this topic. "Clients think since we are paid by commission - our decisions our not trustworthy" and "commissioned sales people cannot earn trust" in summary of what you said. Look at what I might think clients of fee based consultants say. &quo...

Scott; You earlier words do not even suggest or hint at being a risk manager. Your entire remark was based on money. If everyone was just like you things would be better by charging a fee. That is why I am saying you have blamed the wrong people. You blame insurance companies and clients for not dev...

Here is the problem....a real risk manager as you say Scott is, is only interested in helping client(your argument). The fact is Scott was unable to establish trust with his clients in the first place. Instead of doing some self-evaluation and asking the difficult questions of himself, he punted and...

There is no conflict of interest! As an independent agent I provide a service to the partner-client. I do not represent them, I represent several carriers, which provide me commission as fair compensation for my work. An independent agents value is the ability to tailor coverages, make recommendatio...

Scott I do not think you understand what a trusted relationship is based on. It has nothing to do with how old agency is, or how polite I am, or how good my service might be, or how many companies I represent. There is an inherent cost of doing any type of business, period. Some charge fees, others ...

Scott, So when clients premium goes up $90,000 on you, as a fee based service. Did you work hard, your client still 'lost' didn't he. He still has to pay the $240,000 and you make same fee. Client does not win and neither do you. Everyone in your example is a loser. But with commissioned agent, this...
