Re: Punitive Damages
Try Price Forbes www.priceforbes.com or Lloyd & Partners Limited www.lloydandpartners.com. You could also check with your favorite wholesaler and see if they can refer you to their London broker. Since they can't do the placement they might be willing to point you in the direction.

Re: Punitive Damages
Carol J you are looking for a Punitive Damages Wrap. Can only get it through Bermuda domicled insurer. Policy will "drop down" and provide punitive damage coverage. Important to note, if your policy has a specific punitive damage exclusion then the wrap policy will not apply. Some carriers...

Re: Damage to "Your work" exclusion on CGL policy
I think everyone is focusing on the structure built by the GC. Don't forget there is more to completed operations than that. Re: Damage to "Your work" exclusion on CGL policy
That is correct if he does 100% of the construction and his electrical installation causes a fire, there is no CGL coverage. The same institute you are quoting in this discussion suggests wording to use in a negotiation with your market that limits exclusion to the defective part of the work. If you...

If the GC installed the walls, then later installs a sprinkler system that damages the wall the GC has to replace the wall without benefit of insurance. So if the GC collected 50% of the proceeds to build the structure, 50% of the cost...

Re: Damage to "Your work" exclusion on CGL policy
Think of it this way. Building is comprised of many components, electrical work being only one. Property damage arising out of electrician's work covers damage to all the other components of the building (work performed by third parties including his own sub). The CGL does not warrant or guarantee t...

You are all making too big a deal of this. First you need to subscribe to IRMI and look at the annotated CGL. If you have a current ISO form the coverage is built into the policy. Severability of interests is now called Separation of Insureds (Section IV. 7). Here is part of the discussion from the ...
