Re: I was hired as CSR; now owner demands I be a producer

This is far from just an agency problem. Small (really small) businesses tend to have this problem. It's partially the nature of having a small shop and disorganization by the principle. I would be willing to bet that the principle isn't purposefully trying to take advantage of you or slight you and...

Re: Salary- CPCU

40 years experience--compliance. CPCU, CLU, CIC, ACSR, Masters in Public Administration, Insurance Training Professional--current pay of $37,500. No luck trying to break into underwriting or claims. The highr insurance education just did not work out for me. Maybe there's a consulting avenue you ca...

Re: Farmers Insurance

WHen you write 15-20 policies in a week and at weeks end, you are a negative 10 for the week, then you will feel the pain, and believe me, the day will come WOW that would definitely hurt... and infuriate me. Farmers definitely seems to be throwing what it can against the wall. I've met SO many NEW...

Re: Agency Management System

I did look at Hawksoft, but it feels too old. We actually had a system when we first started. We ordered it from a company in Idaho. I dont remember the name of that system, it has been a few years. But it came in a disk which we needed to download on our computers. Terrible. We paid of 2k for the ...

Re: Agency Management System

A few questions: 1) Are you and your staff willing to put up with keystroke lag and slower response than an inhouse system? 2) Are you now or do you plan to use document management? 3) Does your agency have remote offices? 4) What is your internet connection like? 5) Are you willing to pay consider...

Re: Agency Management System

In another life, I worked with a company that was looking into developing an AMS system. IVANS charges those companies I pretty penny for access to their API. And their picky about it too. OldIndyAgent… from your other posts it seems like you know what you’re talking about but I just don’t see IVANS...
