Re: Agency Advantage
We went with Nexsure in december 2008. They have a very nice feature set - cheaper than the big two but feature complete and with some outstanding features that exceed both AMS and TAM (for example, ACORD application integration with Microsoft Office). Nexsure was built for the web and is tightly in...

Not to get too personal - Scott, you look a little like the PC from the ads!
Re: I'm a Mac
I'm a big apple fan- I'm typing this from a hotel on my iPhone. That said, I have a new appreciation for Microsoft after using both exchange server and sharepoint with office 2007. We are going to provide document workflow through sharepoint and outlook and it is very slick. I've got a mac at home a...

Re: Doris Vs AMS360
We just left DORIS for Nexsure. Doris is an outdated system. It is very easy to use (except for the accounting) and easy to learn. That said, the ease of use comes with a ton of limitations. We didn't use it for accounting (we didn't like it at all, used quickbooks). You can't track lines of busines...

Re: What software package would you use......
As I mentioned, we looked at Salesforce. From the time I first saw them a couple years ago to now they have completely upgraded their offerings. They have been impressively quick.

Re: What software package would you use......
We are a small P&C agency - 10 employees. We went with Nexsure after examining the options. That said, you should really consider SalesForce.com. They have a life insurance plugin and also integrate with different accounting systems. Sounds crazy, but you can also integrate VOIP phones with thei...

Re: Applied's Epic vs AMS360
I would encourage everyone to step away from the AMS vs. Applied line of thought. As I mentioned, we moved to Nexsure. It integrates with EZLynx and from a technology standpoint is one of the few systems you access completely through a web browser. Contacs sync with Outlook, Clients can login and se...

Re: Applied's Epic vs AMS360
We just moved to Nexsure - they are very good, web based and can easily integrate multi locations for accounting.
They also offer client web access - their system takes a while to get used to, but is very slick and offers features that I've didn't see anywhere else when looking.

Re: New Markets For Bank D&O
Does anyone know if Bancinsure is assessable?
They have been rumored to be a self insurance fund; I'm pretty sure they are a captive. Does anyone have any idea if they are assessable?
Thanks.

Re: Nexsure vs AMS 360
We are moving from DORIS to Nexsure and will go live January 1. We are doing a lot of out of the ordinary things with our system and account summaries (using OCR to scan coverage data and input it into the system so it can be called into an account summary), and Nexsure was by far the only system th...
