I don't know who provides the broker E&O for these folks, but I have never seen an E&O carrier exclude coverage for a broker writing for an RRG, just because it is an RRG. In CA .... that's very common. Stiff surcharge if you want to "buy back" the RRG placements exclusion endorse...

W2e used to have a broker contract with them until the Krumme v. Mercury suit basically forced them to make all their agents brokers. My understanding is that almost all of the brokers have chosen to change to agency contracts as did we. Opposite. Most Brokers are now "agents." Krumme mad...

Seth's blog is good stuff. I subscribe to his feed and have a few of his posts on referral marketing posted on my Insurance Referral Marketing Blog. They CAN work but rarely do. What's working for me in Commercial Lines is Lumpy mail, and not cheesy trinkets in a clunky envelope. Nice stuff ... $15-20 a whack - with a very targeted [like a picture of the business owner or their product or their location or their website] in the marketing piece. ...
