Re: AMS360 Classic View gone?

Einstein: So did you ever trust those graphs? Yes they are gone, but the reports that they were based on are not gone. If I want to see how many policies I have in force, I run an expiration report, push to excel and then verify the information. Typically I will have policies still marked "active" t...

Re: AMS360 Classic View gone?

So Einstein, let me make sure I understand your position. You are not happy with a newer version of your agency automation system being rolled out, basically because you do not know how to understand them. I get that. So your reaction is to move to a completely new system...the workflows of which ar...

Re: AMS360 Classic View gone?

Einstein: The move to NextGen has been a many years long project and earlier this year your admin person was notified that classic would be gone when you got the 2016 update. Then two weeks before you got the update your admin contact was notified of the exact date it would be rolled to your agency....

There is a new NetVU chapter in San Diego and a well established one in Orange County, you might try networking in those chapters.

Re: AMS360 for accounting?

Why would you not want to use it? Integrates: Client receivables - one place to see who owes what Company/Carrier payables - one place to see what you owe carriers (or what they owe you) Vendor payables - one place to see what you owe vendors Commission (inbound and outbound) - you can see on custom...

Re: Track Your CSR's Daily Sales Activity

Kay-Wa and Kfraiser have the right idea..run activity reports from your automation system. Export to excel...run some pivots and you will have what you want/need. Using other excel tools...you can even calculate the time difference between activities....pretty slick. Just remember to use some logic ...

Re: Agency Management System

Michael, As another independent consultant, I do want to point out that most of the vendors, and the two biggest specifically, have excellent users' groups. NetVu and ASCnet (Applied Systems) are invaluable resources for agencies who use their systems. And it is great that both, rather most, vendor...

Re: Agency Management System

That seems like politically correct speak for "Ease of Use" is beyond a normal user. Still not a good thing. I can start my car, buy and sell stock, file IRS tax payments, any number of things very easily...why not push button agency management systems??? Indy: True you can buy/sell stock, file tax...

Re: Agency Management System

I have been reading this comment thread for a bit now...keep meaning to chime in and just keep forgetting! I agree with what many others have said, lots out there and each has its good/not so good. So you really have to check out the various systems to see which "fits" your needs best. Be sure to vi...

Re: CA - Counselor Working with Foster Parents/Kids

You might want to review the exclusion (the actual document) to see what it really says. Then you will know exactly what you are dealing with. "Abuse" is a very generic word. Then if there is still a problem work with the underwriter to manuscript the form to get the coverage back to where you need ...

Re: Offroad Racing Insurance

Chris, you are going to be disappointed unles there is some daring new Lloyd's guy out there that will insure your car while racing. In many attempts over the years, we have only been able to find coverage for a race car while not actually racing. We can cover it for physical damage while in storag...

Re: Share your sales tips and be in the magazine

Research every lead or introduction so that you have a running start and can shape your approach mentioning specific points about that firm and how you might be of service to them. The most effective approaches have some element of specificity to the prospective client's situation obtained through ...
