Re: Tallahassee Opportunities
I would post this same message to the boards for the software program(s) you are most familiar with (AMS, Applied etc). That might result in more hits and feedback. Also seek out a recruiter who truely knows that territory as well as marketing reps for the carriers that write business there. These p...

Re: brightway insurance brokerage in florida
Bosox04...you just joined in time to comment on this topic...but do not disclose who you really are and post a highly complementary statement about the subject...there are some who will wonder if you are an employee of Brightway. I have to take issue with you on at least one set of comments: "s...

Re: Producer Support
Ishould add...that the producer should be cautious to be courteous to the team that supports them. Be reasonable in setting deadlines (meaning be sure to schedule enough time to avoid creating a rush), be reasonable in how you give them info (be complete as possible). Every once in a while take your...

Mhutch I was thinking much the same...sales job! One thing that is worthy of conversation...this approach might seem to work better with personal lines sales rather than commercial. I do not see this effort going very far...too small of a return vrs the expense of maintaining a large effort. However...

Re: Producer Support
Ahhh the age old stuggle! This is a tough one ... as the producer feels that he/she does too much that is not "income" driven. While the Account Manager feels they do too much that the producer should do! Solution is difficult...but starts at everyone realizing their role in the relationsh...

Re: E&O retro date - going from individual to corporation
if this was my insured, i would ask the underwriter to list the individual as an aditional insured, just to cover all basis. Personally I would want the individual to be a NAMED insured...not additional insured. Again...if an A/I need to review the form to see how the coverage applies to an A/I. We...

Re: E&O retro date - going from individual to corporation
Off the top of my head . . . Seems to me that the key question is ...is his name (as individual) included in the named insured? If not...then he does not have continuing coverage for his individual exposures and likely should have purchased a tail as the individual. How is the policy addressing jobs...

Re: Uninsured builder and mason
I disagree with Big Dog's statement regarding "Carpentry Insurance". What likely is happening is that the contractor has a policy based on Carpentry and has an endorsement limiting coverage to that specific exposure. So even if you get a cert, you really would not see that this endorsement...

I would ask your client if he is the cheapest mechanic out there. When he says no...ask him why not? He will likely say that he knows more than other mechanics and offers mobile sevices which most other mechanics do not. Then I would turn it around and ask...well if you are not the cheapest, why do ...

Networked Insurance Agents http://networkedins.com/ I used them once in past...and did not have a fun experience with them. Concept is good...it is the execution that is not good. Wonder if some of that is related to location - Grass Valley CA - is not a huge population center. So must be tougher to...

Re: Best decision?
A few years back I accepted a sales position with a decently sized/capitalized agency that gave me a decently livable salary. This was put together by a sales manager who realized that with my tenure in the business that he would not have to really train me nor license me. This deal also included a ...

I'll not deny I'm in the "senior" segment of agents' age. But.... ... can someone post the benefits and advantages of Facebook please? Phil There's one key reason to consider Facebook: it's where the people are. Facebook has 200 million users and is among the top 10 most-visited Web sites...

Oh Ya...definate need for D&O! Since you and I are both in California...what about a Brown Act violation (or allegation). For those not in CA...Brown Act is a State Law/Code that prohibits closed meetings unless they relate to certain excluded activities (personnel maters, litigation etc). Someo...

Rob: Agree...ask QUALIFIED attorney. Who sponsors the Community Association, where does funding come from? What is the board and Association tasked with and responsible for? Read the GL policy for them...will then really advise if there is coverage. These answers might also give the ultimate answer....
