Trotter, Agent14 is correct in that proboards WILL give you a TON of information concerning your particular situation. Trust me, I was a Farmers agent for 35-years until I pulled the plug 4-years ago! This company is going no where except DOWN!! You will eventually be much better off!

MetLife and Travelers can go take a hike! Kemper is my go-to company here in Cali. Excellent rates, service (agent & client), commissions, and promotions!

Re: Rental Car claim
Liability insurance WILL NOT cover damage to an insured's vehicle, let alone a rental! ALWAYS purchase rental insurance from the dealer and name ALL drivers. There are MANY items that ARE NOT covered by the standard auto policy, such as; towing, storage, depreciation, and the dealers loss of use!

Re: Farmers Insurance
Sundeviljeremy, You obviously live in an area where Farmers is still competitive. Or, you're gonna tell me that it's all about 'relationship building.' Whatever the case, it's only a matter of time before Farmers pulls the plug on you. If you were smart, you would start planning your exit strategy b...

Manny,
I researched 'clusters' for 2-yrs prior to leaving Farmers. SIAA was and is the BEST! They have EVERYTHING you could possibly need: Companies, Commissions, Growth Bonus, Profitability Bonus, Raters, Mgmt systems, Websites, Etc.

Re: Anyone worked with Consolidated Agency Partners?
I was with Superior Access and Consolidated Agency Partners prior to SIAA. I have researched 'Clusters' till I'm blue in the face! CAP basically does all the work for you. In other words, you send them the information and they return a quote within 24 hours! They are fairly easy to work with. Someti...

Re: Online Competition
'other insurance' is a very important distinction in every auto insurance policy. For example, the new Farmers policy in California will only extend minimum liability limits 15/30/5 to someone (other than a household member) who borrows your vehicle with your permission. I'll bet you didn't know that!

mdagent,
Superior Access and Consolidated are General Agents that submit your information to the respective companies for a quote. Then, they return the quote to you within 24 hours.

Re: Direct Mail VS Paid Leads
'd' is correct! Don't waste your money! NOTHING works, except REFERRALS! If you have COMPETITIVE companies, solicite your own clients for referrals. And, when you write a referral piece of business, send your client an appropriate gift certificate. Maybe dinner for two at a DECENT restaurant. Then, ...

Re: Insurance Noodle vs. Superior Access vs. Agent Secure
You're NEVER going to get real-time access or agency support until you sign up with a REAL cluster like SIAA. That being said, I go between Superior Access and Consolidated Agency Partners (www.capnet-1.com) 775-333-0204. Between the two, I have access to: Traveler's, Safeco, Hartford, Metlife, Kemp...
