When a producer brings in an account on an AOR, what is the typical compensation for when the account renews. Is it the same as new biz, or is it considered renewal and therefore the compensation % is less?

You didn't say what state you're in and type of insurance, Personal or commercial. I agree. Your relationship with the underwriter will influence the rate as well as your agencies volume with that particular carrier. I have found much success with personalumbrella.com. and their prices are very competitive. check them out as they I beleive they write in CA as well

is she currently in a standard market? if so, it will be difficult to get an E&S market to be competitive, but that would be my suggestion, an E&S market
