I'm not sure how you measure how well social media works. Are you getting clients who say they came to you because of twitter or facebook? Also, how damaging are any negative postings? Thanks for the responses. It's been very informative. I will probably go with a franchise or try to buy a small, existing book of business. I think I might spend less time in the school of hard knocks. I am though, a little discouraged by the high prices for existing books.

If you don't have a social security number, you need an ITIN to get a bank account. Generally, you need to file a tax return to get an ITIN. So, I would guess most 'individual property owners' would have at least the ITIN, if not the social security number. It would be interesting to know if insuran...
