CA_International Retention BOND

We are hoping that someone would be able to refer us to a surety that can transact with South Africa. Our CA based manufacturer is hoping to sell equipment the South Africa Brewery. The "customer" requires an international retention bond to be assured of a satisfactory transaction. The val...

A moving and storage commercial package might include the AL, PhysDam, CGL, WLL and UMB. Give us a call for directions.

Re: Freight Forwarding in Ca

Sounds like your applicant requires a BMC-84 Property Bond ($10,000) to be filed with the FMCSA. Additionally this would dictate broker's liability (CGL), contingent auto liability and contingent cargo. Give us a call: 877.500.WEST

Re: Freight Forwarding in Ca

Please define your applicant's operation: Freight forwarders take possession of the freight. Freight Brokers do not. Perhaps the "package" coverage can be enhanced to include CGL. The FMCSA authority will dictate.

Motorcycle Rental Coverage

OK Boy's and Girls.......... A local business man and homeowner wants to rent a Harley with friends on occasion. He does not own a motorcycle but does have the CA_DMV endorsement. The Harley coverage for LIABILITY is "supplemental", not primary. Allied (current PL policy carrier) will not ...

Re: Co-signer for Auto Loan

This appears to be more of a legal question. I can understand the sensitivity of the coverage issues. However, if the father is linked to the operation, garaging or financing of the daughter's vehicle he is exposed. Particularly if it can be demonstrated that there may be character issues or MVR vio...

Re: Need Commercial Truck Broker E&O/Liability

If you are requiring the contingent AL and contingent cargo we can help. The professional liability for a broker (or brokerage) in the event of a third party claim for error/omissions might be a challenge.....if specially excluded under their CGL. There is also legislation pending to increase the BO...

Re: Food Truck - Full Coverage - CA

The leasing revenue is the premium basis for the trailer leasing company. However, if there is not equity and portability in the lease for the operator he would be considered an employee. Department of Industrial Relations has a "test" for guidance in the interruption of a truly "inde...

Re: Commercial Trucking Wholesalers

Not to rain on your parade............but if you do not have a relationship with any wholesale markets, perhaps a truck specialty broker would be a good option. Maybe partner up? There are filings to be done, AI considerations, upcoming CSA 2010 implementation in July 2010 and some serious E&O p...

Re: Access to Unigard in CA

The BOR is great for access to the loss experience, but if it is a serious Fleet there are better markets. Contact the agents with Great West Casualty in California. Better programs and support. They have a more comprehensive Truckers form than ISO and the claims management is superior. The top FMCS...

Re: trucker for hire

This does not appear to be too restrictive. The exposure is actually a trailer leasing operation as revenues are generated by leasing fees. If there is a brokerage operation, this can be done with a level of contingent liability and contingent cargo that supports the trucking operation which is haul...
