Re: Automation (Specifically downloads)

EZlynx does the auto downloads, and in addition you can set up workflows through their automation center for cancellations, renewals etc etc

Re: Best Agency Management System?

It's literally the MOST requested enhancement they have. It certainly isn't a dealbreaker for me though given the comparison to other systems and their cost/benefit.

Re: Is the independent insurance agency channel healthy?

Case and point, look at AOL, eBay, Yahoo, MySpace... they in some way shape or form are still around... but relevant? Nah, any one of them could have been Amazon, facebook, or Google. They got good enough and complacency set in. I know younger people even saying, what's myspace? Travelers Hartford, ...

Re: Is the independent insurance agency channel healthy?

The industry is fully commoditized, as is every type of business on Earth. Google recently acquired part of Applied. Private client? That's what every customer relationship should feel like, to the provider and client alike. It's about relationships. Agreed on the "should" feel like... wh...

Re: Is the independent insurance agency channel healthy?

Honestly, In a private client and larger specialized CL sense maybe... however, root, pie, lemonade, name your price, cake and more are commodotizing the industry. The notion that we will always be relevant should heed warning from travel agents... remember them? Adapt, and you'll survive. Specializ...

Re: Email Disclaimers

Ok so it's like this, I pre sell my quote by saying if I can get you the same, or better, appropriate coverage at a reasonable price, hopefully less (and it usually is), is there any reason why we wouldnt proceed. No proposal necessary, just a choice... I agree 100%. Set the expectation for the flo...

Re: Email Disclaimers

I'm a little different. I dont do free consulting and I do not provide proposals. I am vague at best when discussing prices. Ok so it's like this, I pre sell my quote by saying if I can get you the same, or better, appropriate coverage at a reasonable price, hopefully less (and it usually is), is th...

Re: Best Agency Management System?

Unfortunately not GSuite... I've been using that since I was a Guinea Pig on the alpha and beta releases. Nothing beats free... I dont love outlook so never used the plugin. I email out from it, replies go to my email. On automation, there definately internal processes you can set up, but as for upl...

Re: Best Agency Management System?

Ok in their retention center there is a tab for exipring premiums, and expired policies. I can set an automated email to them, but it will force you to reconcile them so if one comes up and shows expired I have it set for me to look into, then I manually click the email depending on the results to s...

Re: Best Agency Management System?

I believe you should be asking for something less than $300 a month for both rater and management. I have heard lower. I do have some contacts that I could have reach out to you. I actually include EZLynx in our aggregator platform but I'm in CO, TX, GA, NM, AZ, WA, and CA so I can't personally help...

Re: Aggregators

If anyone has information to share, positive or negative on SIAA or SmartChoice or ASNOA, I would be interested in hearing from you. I have been captive my entire career, 15 years with one carrier and 15 with another. Finally decided to set up my own shop. Any steering suggestions would be apprecia...

Re: Best Agency Management System?

I will give a shout out for EZLynx. It will cost a little more than the other ones you will find out there, and less than some as well. Having been in the business for a long time, I can say that having the rater integrated with the management system is a really great feature. There are many, and it...

Re: Is the independent insurance agency channel healthy?

I agree on the increases being a problem, but the solution of requoting everything is like throwing ice cubes in a fire. No offense to those that do... it's common practice and reaction to the problem... even logical. It does however matter less to your sales reps, and more to the program managers t...

Re: Your single biggest challenge right now?

Finding and Retaining good agency talent! Systems yes, I agree, and what used to be carrier knowledgebases a call away are now outsourced-work at home 1 to two year frontline manual readers.
