Re: Agency Management Syste

socal77 When you have written as much business as I have canceled, start talking. I generate 90% of new business via search engines. So, if I am a dinosaur, ok? Again, the punk in you talking. I have had experience with the Utah folks predecessor with even less success. You can have that garbage. Th...

Re: Agency Management System

Socal77. I have been an independent agency owner for over 33 years. I am not a competing rep nor do I care which rater anyone uses. The guy asked about start up and I told him my experience. If you like Quomation, congratuations. they WILL screw you eventually. NO, we owed them NO monies. We did NOT...

Re: Arizona Photo Radar Tickets (mis-type)

I have HEARD of a "guy" who has been cited over 25 times by photo speeding, photo - stop signs and / or photo redlights/speeding cameras and PAID on the two he was served. I did not mean to suggest that I had personally had such experience............ I would never do such a thing. The bes...

Re: Arizona Photo Radar Tickets

You would only get your license suspended IF you were served on the Photo violation. Otherwise, you can go to the AZ. Supreme Court Web site and watch each violation drop at 120 days like posted above. The AZ. Constitution REQUIRES peace officer serve you OR you are served by a process server. Now, ...

Re: "RD" Renewal disfucuntion

Since you are a "newbie", you should read the DOI statutes on trust accounts and the funds that should be in the account to be "in trust" at all times. ANY commissions that are not earned are required to be in the trust account and not spent until they are actually earned. So, sh...

Re: Quomatio Agency Management System

If the mgmt system from Quomation is free, think about what you normally get for free today? There is a reason it is free. It is not worth any money??? Also, be careful dealing with the Utah folks. My personal experience has been TERRIBLE! Holding entities hostage, intentionally disrupting business ...

Re: Financing an agency purchase

Oak Street Funding also lends for agency acquisitions and depending upon the primary lines and retention of the book of business being purchased, varies the term and rates accordingly. Insurebanc is good but gets totally involved with many other items on your balance sheet prior to potentially lendi...

Re: Texas Incorporation

In case no one has mentioned it, in order to incorporate in the State of Texas, you must have ONE RESIDENT officer. Otherwise, you can not create a Texas Corporation. This was the law and I believe it still is. You will also be required to have the ONE resident officer be a Local Recording Agent (LR...

MAKE CONGRESS JOIN US ON THEIR 'PLAN'

Everyone has good ideas, including TORT reform. I think a broken fingernail should not generate lifetime income for the patient and his attorney. But, I have seen studies that EVEN with SIGNIFICANT Tort reform, the increasing medical costs would not be knocked down more than 15% including Alabama ju...

Are you Kidding? You are 16?

At 16 years old, I think you would be told to wait at least two years by the DOI. (that is Dept. of Insurance)

Also, for your info, an auto insurer needs at least $10 million in policyholder surplus to begin the licensing process.

Product Liability for new Medical Device

Anyone know of markets in AZ. and/or nationwide that will consider product liability on a new medical device?

It is a disposable product that works with Dermatologists primarily.

Please let me know where to go if you can... (other than to you know where!)

thanks,

Hutch

Re: Best Sub-Standard Carriers- ANCHOR GENERAL

You may be lucky enough to write with Anchor General in CA.

They write non-standard auto using numerous products in CA.

Get that company and you will do fine.

good luck.

NON-Standard not SUB Standard

Unless you have been out of the industry for 25 years, the current description of this division of the auto insurance industry is referred to as NON standard.

I have not HEARD SUB Standard in many years.

Good luck with that.

Re: Charging Broker Fees in FL, TX, and NY

Texas producers charge between $40 - $100 on personal auto depending typically upon coverage. I would bet Florida producers would find a way to charge fees.

CA is the champ of broker fees.

Re: Pricing an agency to buy

Stuart, I have seen your ads re: both collecting debts and more recently, brokering agency acquisitions. I have a 52 year old non-standard auto insurance agency possibly for sale in Phx. What kind of terms are available and what benefits should I expect? I have been in this business for 31 years and...
