IVANS doesn't give a crapola about AMS. Call them. I bet they will continue to support ALL of these systems with download long after the vendors stop.
Only thing, you will be not be paying $$$ a month. Was AMS really doing that much to earn it anyway?

Re: Agency Management System
Honestly, if you liked your previous system, you should have stayed with it. AMS has had customers stay on platforms 10+ years and just quit paying support. Not something they really talk about. They have customers on systems they haven't supported since 2000...you just don't get updates.

Re: Applied EPIC vs. antivirus
Dump AVG and FAST, it is probably their issue. We have seen them have all kinds of issues with other software. HUGE liability issue for you--- AVG was just cited to be SECRETLY recording and sending your data off. RUN, RUN FAST!!! I would recommend Mbam from Malwarebytes, Kapersky, etc. Stay away fr...

Re: Take the Harford "Agent's Challenge"
I'm curious how they get away with this. Rates have to be filed and they can't charge two different rates based on the same risk. It seems challenging this at the Dept of Insurance and in court via state agent associations would fix this. Progressive got their hats handed to them back in the 90's fo...

Re: Anybody using CloudAMS.com ? Agency Management System $3
If its AMS...nuff said, its not AMS so I agree a discussion is relevant. Interesting that obvious stuff like links and ACORD would be misspelled. The website is registered in Kirkland WA, less than 15 minutes from AMS in Bothell WA. The features promised seem to be more than a startup could ever hop...

Re: Anybody using CloudAMS.com ? Agency Management System $3
If its not AMS, they picked a very poor name, and it causes confusion with AMS, possibly a trademark issue.
AMS (tm) is owned by Vertafore, http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield ... 1uzr5.9.13
Nuff said is just that, the AMS topic has been beat to death, and Hitler invoked.

Re: Agency Management System
You guys shilling for AMS... you have only 1 or 2 posts... kambers...get a paycheck from AMS? Truth is, this does affect the users. Every time, it seems one of these sales happens, cuts are made to staff... That is why so many agencies have to buy support from outside vendors. I was very disappointe...

Re: Agency Management System
AMS Vertafore is letting experienced staff go... Usually when they do this it means they are trimming the books to sell the company. I heard they let all 12 of the agency management system integration developers go too. Meanwhile, Applied is hiring like crazy. Maybe Applied will by Vertafore... Now ...

Re: Travelers reducing commissions
Look around...
I know of one company with realtime electronic submission with bound/underwritten quotes paying 17% NB in P&C. ...And they are getting ALL THE BUSINESS they want, all day long. Why keep sending business to companies like Progressive if they are going to eat your book???

Re: Foremost Commission Cuts
Rav, Your right its called a RIF, Reduction in Force. Instead of raising rates Foremost can cut policies in force simply by cutting commissions. Thereby bypassing state approval and letting the market shift. What do you think would have happened if State Farm had went to 5% homeowners new commission...

Re: Non compete lawsuit
See an attorney. 25 miles is a little bogus but so is the fact he only 3 commissions...it would be better if he had got no compensation, then the non-compete would be null and void. You have to have quid-pro-quo (compensation) for a contract to be valid. If you move 5 miles, and agree to not solicit...
