Re: Insurance Newsletter
CSRQueen...I just read the last 4 of the Tuscano newsletters and reviewied their web page. I am pretty sure that the original poster had newsletters to retail agency clients in mind. But this is a great example of a newsletter not necessarily being used to convey specific info, but to enhance a rela...

Re: Auto Classification
A quick thought...if the item (luxury liners) are perm attached to a trailer versus merely transported upon a trailer...me thinks of this as mobile equipment. Much the same as I would a portable generator/welder/pump etc that occupies the trailer (not talking about a small unit bolted to a trailer)....

Others to consider networking with. Tool Dealers: Snap On, Mac etc they know everyone at every shop in their territory. They might even be around when an owner is complaining about his agent or carrier. Right place at the right moment. Coverall and rag dealers: same as above Oil and Lubricant dealer...

to answer the licensing question we will need to know what state you are located in and what states you would operate in.

Re: Astonishing results: Agency online marketing
What is interesting about Inskid's post is that every agency listed has damn near exactly the same web page. Yes the layout differs a bit from one to the other...but they all have same basic content and exactly the same video messages! So appears that Astonishing Results also provides web page desig...

Re: A&E professional liability - group vs own policy
these are all great comments I would also suggest that if you have the client get a quote from the association take that quote back to the current insurer and ask for pricing considerations loyalty helps and I often get at least 5% if not more. Why beat down a good/great market with a good/great qu...

[quote="scott"]Rob, You are a trusted adviser with value to offer. "Frankly, some people take my advise and some don't. Those who follow my recommendations tend to do better than those that don't." is a phrase I coach my agents to use when working with their clients. Do not allow...

Re: getting started
I think that most people reading your post will want/need more information on how you are getting your name out there to prospects. Also, seems to have been only one year...a search for previous similar topics in IJ forums will reveal that most persons who have traveled your path previously have not...

Re: Looking to buy used CPCU study materials
Me thinks InsMgmt has hit the nail ... and without rehashing their post...I will repeat something that I have soapboxed about before. Our industry is constantly changing ... and growing in complexity. Their is no substitute for education and improvement/refinement of our skills. One of the best ways...

Re: Why Would an Agency Retain Trust Account Service?
I now have a better understanding of the question. TA in this case is Technical Assistant ... or in plainer (and uglier) terms...data entry. There is some merit for outsourcing of this task in certain circumstances. Examples being when an agency can not find qualified or adequate staffing or there i...

Re: Decreasing Labor Intensity
I completely agree with you on this one Scott. Key is to focus on what you do best, what your clients need from you and push out the rest! In my last position I outsourced all of our IT to a provider that did most of the services remotely. The remote was the best as it meant that I did not have to s...

Re: Why Would an Agency Retain Trust Account Service?
It is unclear what you are trying to say...are you advertising for TA outsourcing?
Advocating that TA should or should not be outsourced?
Also...what do you mean by Trust Account (TA) service?
Me confused...
