Liability coverage for wedding
Isn't this already covered by the host's homeowner's liability? I don't know of any Homeowner's exclusion for weddings.

Post subject: Insurance negotiations
We are NOT advising our client to lower their limits, we are negotating with a certificate holder that is requiring limits or coverages that the insured has already chosen NOT to purchase. And to be fair, we sometime use a certificate holder request to encourage an insured to get the higher limits o...

Negotiating with Cert Holders
cid wrote "From your experiences; is this an E&O risk? To be more specific, if your client is unhappy that a customer is requiring a higher limit, an additional policy(such as an OCP), or something of this nature, is it an unacceptable E&O risk for the agent to(at your insured's request...

Contractors BI
A contractor's expsoure is really Extra Expense. I write many contractors and have never had a BI loss. They will continue operations from another location if needed, but they never shut down or even slow down their operations. We do write some Extra Expense on Equipment, too, when they are using hi...

I agree with Scott that you need to add both names. This is critically important due to the Products/Completed Operations exposure. And, it's standard practice to add the Owner an...

Occurrence
Once again, the occurrence is when the BI or PD occurred. When the product was made, distributed, etc is not relevant at all.

Occurrence GL
Simply, put the BI or PD must occur during the policy period. Since your insured makes a product, that product is still out there after the policy expires and can cause BI or PD which would not be covered if there is no policy in force at the time of the occurrence. Your client would definitly have ...

Fire Legal & Property Insurance
Fire Legal Liability does not limit to inside walls and ceilings. I don't know what CIC instructor taught that, but it's not true. It applies to the PREMISES rented to the insured. It does not define premises so there is no way an insurance company can limit that to mean interior walls and ceiling. ...
