Re: How to divide work to customer service reps

I don't think there is a standard answer for this in a small agency. I have always seen commercial lines separate from personal lines. Very few CSR's with the ability to handle commercial lines want to handle personal lines. Do they all have the same ability? Do they all get the same pay? Usually a ...

Re: Non-for-profit Volunteer Coverge

Auto Coverage would NOT be first if the volunteer was driving their own car, at fault and had no med pay. To yoyowordup: Automobile accident would go the the automobile carrier first for the volunteer, I think, unless something is in place for the WC. Issues could still exist if it is a catastrophe ...

Re: Travelers reducing commissions

Folks, that's why we've got to strongly favor the regionals with our business. Most of them truly appreciate their agents and generally provide much better compensation, especially as regards profit sharing. They should win all ties. Can you imagine what the nationals would be paying us if the regi...

Re: Peer-to-Peer Website & Self-Insuring Users

856 Views on the first posting and no replies obviously means there is no hope. Re-posting doesn't help. Most of us see way too much work for the potential income. If the exposure is damage to a $1,000 musical instrument, self-insure. Most preferred insurance agencies recommend a deductible of at le...

Re: Non-for-profit Volunteer Coverge

C'mon insurance professionals. Are you not aware the GL Medical Payments coverage provides Med Pay for volunteers as an exception to the Med Pay exclusion for 'any insured'? The insurers that we do business with that have programs for non-profits typically include coverage extensions that, amongst ...

Re: Non-for-profit Volunteer Coverge

Hartford writes a WC policy for us on a non-profit and there is an extension endorsement that includes volunteers.

If you've written $1,000,000 in premium in 4 months, why can't you just get your own contracts?

Re: The Age Old Question-How much to split

Sorry to say but $55K gross commission is way too low for 8 years on the job. Yes, that is pretty weak. So far though, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. He does not cost me much, and the customers he does have are very happy with him. You say he does not cost you much but your previously said &q...

Re: Insuring Fabric Structures

I wouldn't think any insurance company in their right mind would insure this product for property coverage. The ASU football program had one that blew apart in a wind storm to the tune of about $8 mil. It would be like insuring a tent or canopy.

Re: Question regarding my universal life insurance policy !

Do you still need life insurance? How old are you? How much life insurance do you need? For how long? Are you healthy? Would Term Life insurance work for you or are you looking for an investment vehicle (that didn't work out so well for you before). One of the reasons I prefer to sell Term (if it fi...

Re: Start up cost for a new agent

www.websites4insurance.com is super cheap ($200/yr?) if you just want a template/brochure and are not looking for anything interactive or leads driven. I think if you really want to use the web as a marketing tool you should hire someone locally that you can do timely reviews and changes with.

Re: Standard Non-Compete

Does anyone know where I can get a non-compete or no-compete agreement. I need something stating that any agents working for me cannot contact any of the customers they close while working for me for X amount of time after they stop working for me. Thanks in advance. Yes, you can get it from an att...

The "referral" from quikfuzion is from an employee. He has four posts all related to the selling of quikfuzion software. That doesn't mean it's bad, I'm just always leery of spam posters.
