Re: Coverage for Knights of Columbus Hall

KofC is a large organization, with it's own policy. Local chapters do not typically have their own policies. It is unusual for a KofC to own a building, so the building owner is a a separate corporation.

OK, I guess every underwriter is going to be different. I'm going to ask ISO, see what kind of answer I get. Should be interesting.

Coverage for Knights of Columbus Hall

I have an organizatiuon that is looking for coverage. Here's what I know: The building is owned by a for-profit organization, which is basically comprised of the same members that are Knights of Columbus. The Knights of Columbus branch operates out of this building. It is unusual for Knights of Colu...

Re: Insurance Newsletter

Use MailChimp or something like it, keep it to one topic, something relevant and personal. Write like you're talking to your clients one on one. The goal should be to make connections. Also keep insurance related information out of it. Yeah, I know...sounds ridiculous, except that more people want c...

Give the most important work to your most responsible CSR's, and reward them for exceptional customer service. The rest will follow.

Re: Do you use online leads services?

Leads services = junk leads. Buy them if you want to rip your hair out in frustration, while battling 10-20 other agents for the same lead. I know, I know, I know...they only sell / share with 2-3 other agents average. Phooey! Our industry is besieged with those that want to make this a question of ...

I had forgotten why I never post stuff for discussion here. My apologies...stupid question. BUT, I found my answer in the most unlikely of places. Not here, though.

Is the independent insurance agency channel healthy?

There are many ways that agencies operate, many differing opinions, plenty of ways that companies want to spend your money on marketing / advertising. Is the independent insurance agency channel / model healthy? Are we understood, in general, by the end consumer? Are we doing enough to stimulate the...

Personal Lines Leads

This IS a loaded question, no doubt. What it is NOT is an open invitation for reps from the leads companies to pick up the phone and try to sell me old, previously sold, tired or otherwise ineligible leads. You know who you are... It is an invitation for you to comment on the best ways to generate n...

Think niche markets with regional carriers. The smaller companies tend to be the receptive to new ideas and are willing to provide resources.

Re: Agency Management System

There seems to be no consensus, no compelling reason to switch (my phone will be ringing with sales calls soon), all software programs are too expensive, nothing is really that secure, there is no silver bullet. We're still using an ancient piece of insurance software that gets the job done for our ...
