I was thinking about selling cell ph...

hey thanks for the advice, I'll give the life insurance a try since it seems to be pretty easy to get appointed and it really won't hurt if I can't sell any.
thanks again

Should we add life and health insurance to our agency?

Anybody with experience, would you recommend adding life and health insurance to an agency that sells mainly non-standard auto. How hard would it be to get appointed with those companies.

Why are you running mvr's and clues on quotes in the first place it's a quote ( estimate based on the information the customer gives you ). Your not the only one in this situation, I've wondered how to get the preffered appointment myself, because most of them want you to be appointed with atleast o...

I'm in california so I'm not familiar with the companies out there. I think it's O.K. to commit a little bit higher than what you will realistically achieve, as long as you don't go overboard.

I figured oh well I'll just stop writing business for them and just use them if I have to in order to sell a policy but no...

I think 30K is just a little bit lower, should be more like 40k. Sure you have agents making less but I think the average agent that's been doing insurance for at least 2-3 years is making around 40K.

most companies pay you hourly plus bonus or commission.

Yes, I am appointed with them. Their rates are pretty competetive and their customer service hold time is usually a minute or so. They are a part of Sterling.

What MGA would you suggest, and by volume what amount do you think would be enough to get my own appointment.
