Re: PL Raing (Vertafore) does not support Chrome?

Totally agree on the browser issue. I think we're being a dead horse here a little.

ACORDS.... That's another story. Totally unusable and rigid structurally. The days of information being requested in a specific and rigid structure, based on generalities is gone.

Re: I Work for an agency that has lost major appoinmtents

Would need to know a little more...

Why are they losing appointments?
Will they eventually close?
What are you licensed for?
Do you have a book / clients that you can take with you, or is there a NC involved?

Re: PL Raing (Vertafore) does not support Chrome?

Why has the rollout of Chrome for PL Rating been so long. It all has to do with the integration with the insurance carriers. Most carriers 12-18 months ago did not work in Chrome. The bridge from PL Rating to the carrier would not work if PL Rating was in Chrome. Now that has changed the option of ...

Let's talk about policy / account review

What does your agency do, whether automated or not, in order to deliver a full policy review? It does not need to be limited to your agency management system. It would be interesting to know other tools that you use in order to conduct policy reviews for your clients. What re the steps that are take...

Re: Your single biggest challenge right now?

Low risk gets an email or a call that says if you see a shift in your pricing that doesnt look reasonable please contact us immediately, even if all looks well we are always here to do a full review. On the high risk ones, they get a call and email saying we noticed your premium went up, let's take...

Re: 3rd party servicing company

WAHVE - Work at Home Vintage Experts. We tried them, had good luck with one remote worker. Another was mediocre. I think the idea is good, but they did not nurture the relationship with our agency, at all. My guess is that they are more interested in larger agencies, but I do not know that for sure...

Re: Your single biggest challenge right now?

Had the issue with Safeco and Travelers... we used to get asked "can you shop us out" all the time. The carrier would beat us up too... we were always running quotes... some carriers retention was in the 65% range... agency was great @ 90% but carriers dont see that way on it... Things ar...

Re: Your single biggest challenge right now?

pageltd, I think what agents are expressing, is the fact that the CARRIERS are telling you, me and every other agent, if you requote too much, we can terminate your contract and you are not welcome back ever. So if you hear this advice from an agent, they are really just passing on what they have w...

Re: Your single biggest challenge right now?

Explaining rate increases of 38% or more. Rating has become so complex underwriters can't tell you why a rate increases. I recently had a homeowner policy that was almost $1,000 per year and on renewal it went to $2,000 and there hadn't been any claims. No one with the company could tell me why. Ne...

Re: PL Raing (Vertafore) does not support Chrome?

I never get any response on the portal. It's too complicated to get into and/ or use. Just too many layers. When is the next PL rating release? You should have supported Chrome a year or more ago. I'm no genius, but the handwriting was on the wall, and with Google making investments into Applied, I ...

PL Raing (Vertafore) does not support Chrome?

Hard to believe a company as large and successful as www.vertafore.comdoes not support Chrome for PL Rating. But...it's true.

Re: Your single biggest challenge right now?

The advantage / disadvantage of being an independent insurance agency. You can save the day by offering a better deal, better coverage, better company, better service. At the same time, you're guilty by association if the client is not happy, or something goes south for any particular reason.
