Looking for quake markets to cover personal residence in CA.
HO value [Travelers] $438,000.
Know of Geovera, Pacific Select, Pacific Specialty, Axis and the CA Quake Program.
Any others? If so, how to access?
Thanks.

Think you pretty much have the available markets covered. From what I have seen of the carriers you mention, the pricing is pretty much the same across the board. Good luck!

Another stand alone carrier is Fideility National Ins. Co.

Thanks for the comments. Curious about Fidelity National. How are they accessed?

Fidelity gives direct appointments to retail agents, not sure if you can access them through a GA or not. Their rates may not necessarily lower than Geovera or other carriers, but they have pretty good coverage. Their "preferred" program includes contents at 50% of Cov. A.

Fidelity National writes stand alone EQ up to 750K, you can call (800) 849-6140 and ask for a Regional Sales Manager for your area. Fidelity gives direct appointments. The coverage is better than through the CEA using their Comprehensive Plan.

Re: Personal Quake Insurance - CA
The home on which I am arranging Quake insurance is value at $8,000,000.
I'm told that the incumbent insurer is the Firemans Fund at a 22 cent rate.
That sounds fishy......not only the rate but the fact that the FFund writes a quake policy on an $8MM home.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
Thanks.

Re: Personal Quake Insurance - CA
Firemans Fund will write quake on high value dwellings, so will Chartis/Lexington. Depending on where your risk is located, and the deductible that FIremans Fund is offering, it's very possible the premium is what they are telling you. Markets on the E & S side of the world who consider single family dwellings would include Essex, QBE, and for larger homes (like this one) Mt Hawley.

If Travelers is writing the Home why not add the earthquake through them? They offer it on new business and afterwards every other renewal. Outside of this i like Geovera,
