I'm looking for help with Marine Insurance-any experts?

Post by kimberly3470 »

I have a current CMP client who owns and operates 2 boats. One on each coast. One based in OR and one based in RI. My problem is this: I am having GREAT difficulty finding a carrier who will cover the insureds' owned property over water. (the vessels themselves are w/ Int'l Marine U/Wers). I've been putting out feelers everywhere I can think of in this great country of ours with no success. Any ideas? Are there any niche markets for this?--Thanks for your thoughts.. :?:

Have you tried Elton Porter? They are a niche market for boats..etc.. maybe they can help you.

Iwrite a large volume of boats. When you say "insureds owned property over water" exactly what are you trying to cover? His personal property, or the boat while it is being transported overland?

Did you try Hartford or St.Paul/Travelers Marina.
