CA Roofing Contractor WC

Post by Santa Rosa Ins Broker »

Looking for a WC market besides the State Fund, insured is coming off a labor leasing agreement. Labor leasing company did not have a seperate policy for this experience rated client, had a good mod. Will consider a Risk Retention Group. Thanks

I didn't think WC could be done in a RR Group.... did they amend the Risk Retention Act?

WC for a roofer

Post by volstrike3 »

SRIB was probably referring to a self insured group (SIG) as opposed to an RRG. The two SIG's I know about will not write roofers. National Liability & Fire was writing roofers last year but is non-renewing them. I was told a PEO, Barrett Business Systems, was writing roofers but got off of them last year as well. I saw a large commercial roofer that was very clean placed with Majestic and I have seen a few others with AIG on a large deductible. If your looking to place a residential guy that is under $500k, I think SCIF is the only option unless there is a new PEO around that thinks they can make money with that class of business.

What is the premium size?

Roofers WC - CA

Post by doyourhomework »

The only WorkComp market in CA for roofers is the State Fund.

Others might tell you there are other markets and there could be but the State Fund is the only market writing them.

Actually, I had a second roof that put on my second house and I get the WC roofing service. Both have turned out beautifully. W. C. is such a pleasure to work with.

There are currently a few PEO's that are writing the roofing business in CA. They are not taking any & everybody but they are taking some of them.

I think American Team Managers can write roofers through Tower Group.

I was a first time customer of WC & very pleased with the service. I'll never use another company, except them, I think they are the best in this business.
