I control this account already, and they have been around for 4 years. This construction management company does not perform any construction or draw any plans, simply manage the project for the owners. They simply act as the owners agent and report the status of the project to the owner. If the project gets behind schedule then the advise the General and of Subs that they need to accelerate the work. C N A is trying to get off this risk on the renewal, but their middle market will do it. I need a competitive option, any thoughts?

Common guys, somebody spill the beans and let me know carriers names that are writing this business. There are plenty of Surplus Lines carriers I am sure, but what about admitted?

I know Great American Assurance will do this, but they are a surplus lines carrier. If CNA's middle market will do it, wouldn't that be their admitted arm? Other that them, would Allied consider? Or Golden Eagle?

Some use admitted, some non-admitted. There are plusses and minuses to writing on non-admitted paper, but non-admitted is not equated to "bad". Look at the best program for your client, but make an effort to assess the financial security of the non-admitted carrier a little more. A large chunk of professional liability is written non-admitted.

Depending upon size of premium, we have used Zurich, CNA, AIG and Navigators for these types of accounts.
