Umbrellas on trucking accounts

Post by INTLXS »

Who are the "hot markets" for umbrellas on auto driven accounts such as trucking accounts? Do any of them have minimum premiums under $5,000?

How heavy is your auto exposure, and is it long haul trucking?

Both.

Looking for who will do umbrellas competitvely on:

Long Haul
Couriers
Coal Haulers
Sand and Gravel Haulers
HazMat Haulers
Single unit truckers
Large Fleets

We have used a number of markets and many are not as competitive as what we would like. Just trying to find out who is "hot" out there.

INTLXS,
I've found James River has been quite aggressive up to a few months ago. The last one I wrote a few months back was a sand and gravel hauler large fleet and they were 50% lower than what was quoted for them last year.
I don't know what their MPs are but if you can sell Surplus Lines carriers then I recommend you try them.
For access and products details I suggest you call Swett & Crawford, Susanne in Fresno is phenominal to work with...
Good luck!
