california: anyone know of a quick surety company for customs bonds? limit $50,000
besides worldwide insurance specialists and hcc?

We the surety agent for Hanover Insurance and write Customs bonds in all U.S states and Canada. It takes 10 business days on US Customs' end to place a new bond. We just need a completed and signed application and Power of Attorney.
