Speed boat/Texas

Post by BobbyCounts »

Any one know where I can place a 30' Spectre Cat w/ dual 500hp motors with a max speed of 95mph? I'm in Texas. Thanks in advance.

Howdy! Have you tried Foremost? They have a pretty good watercraft market and they may be a source for you.

Foremost and Progressive as well as the regular go to companies don't have a program for this boat. It's a dual hull (cat) with speeds around 95mph.

Dear BobbyCounts,

To the best of my knowledge, the Progressives and Foremosts of the world are not going to insure a boat with near 100 mph capability or 1,000 total hp.

For this risk, you need to access a specialist that gets to Starr, Chartis (AIG), Travelers, and others that may have programs for high performance boats. I see a regular ads in the trade mags for Atlass Insurance, 866-471-9722 or www.atlassspecialrisks.com. I would also try National Marine Underwriters, 800-262-8467 or www.nmu.com.

Best of luck!

Try Trafalgar, they took over or bought ACE's high performance program years ago. http://www.trafalgarinsurance.com

I have Progressive with a guaranteed replacement value. I do not understand the insurance company negotiating on the value of the lower unit unless the guaranteed value of the replacement policy was less than the value of the boat package. View more: https://personalmoneynetwork.com
