carriers for multistate trucking/warehousing work comp

Post by consult1 »

What carriers in the market cover multistate trucking/warehousing work comp?

The company does long haul and local trucking, warehousing, and they have some mechanics. They have both company employees and some owner operators. They also provide drivers and warehouse personel to fill gaps at smaller companies.

They have dispatch offices in multiple states, the larger dispatch offices in NJ, CA, IL, MN, IA, TX, and a couple more smaller offices with yards in some other states. No offices in CT, WA, OH, SC. Their drivers live all across and drive through the lower 48.

They are looking for a large deductible.

Are there any carriers that do trucking risk only?

Cheers!

There are a couple different PEO options available to cover this type of risk with varying levels of deductibles.

Could also help with the tax management associated with having various tax codes across the country that the client has to keep up with the liability for having everything in order tax wise would fall on the PEO as well.

Let me know if you would like to explore the option further.

Client already has the infrastructure to handle payroll, taxes, compliance, etc., and has a large deductible, they are just looking to see if there is a better carrier. I suggested that they spin off their HR department to a BPO or a PEO.

You might want to check into Alaska National out of Seattle. This might not fit due to the high mod but last I knew they were a good market for the large deductible accounts...

Hello,
There is a Zurich Warehousing & Logistics program on ZProgramsMatch.com that includes Workers Comp coverage. Please research the program here for more details:
http://zprogramsmatch.com/ProgramView.a ... dLogistics.

There is also a handful of other trucking/transportation programs available on the site that you can find here:
http://zprogramsmatch.com/landingdirect.aspx

From these links you can reach out to the Program Administrator and get set-up with the coverage you need. Please contact me via PM if you have any questions, I hope this helps.
