If you do not have direct access and know the market its a waste of time to try and write though a GA. Often they dont have the competitive markets. Other will give you a sky high quote that you cant sell and the following year they market your account with a lower rate that they could have given you in the previous year. Your best bet is to find a local Broker and build a relationship with them. Build a book and try and get your own appointments down the line.

You can try piconline or dcapinsurance. The former provide limits up to $5M and has $20M excess market capability and you can even fill out a request form for quotes so as to give you an idea how much it would cost you when signing up for this type of insurance.

Does anyone know where I can get taxi insurance? I am in the State of Alaska in a small community and need 300,000 liability. I have 1 cab and no drivers besides myself. This is a requirement for a city permit. Thanks
