Workers Comp (Ca) Auto Repair with large loss

Post by PaulN »

We have an auto repair prospect being non-renewed at the beginning of July from his current carrier. The business has been operated by the current ownership for only 2 years and they had about an $80,000 loss in 2012 (employee aggravated an injury that he had surgery on 4 years ago). Their expiring premium is about $14,000. Does anyone know of a market that may take a look at this other than State Fund?

Hi Paul,

I think this one is probably best with SCIF for now. Unfortunately it's the triple whammy of non-renewal, large loss, and newer business.

I would be curious if you could find a home for it... Please share if you can. Good luck -

Dear Paul,

I have markets that would possibly quote your insured.
The minimum premium with all our markets is 15,000.
If you are interested I will send you the details.

Thank you,
