Performance Bond - international exposure

Post by GRCinCA »

A client needs a performance bond in order to meet contract requirements. Obligee is govt entity in UAB. Travelers, CNA, Liberty, and PHLY all declined based on international exposure.

Anyone have any ideas on who I can take this to?

You have a difficult case. Try CCI Surety in Minneapolis or Surety One in Raleigh, NC. Good luck.

Thanks for the szinecker I will follow up if need be. Right now we are checking with the insured's bank. It appears the contract calls for an irrevocable letter of credit in lieu of a bond - so I'm gonna see how that shakes out.
