AMS (LEGAL OR NOT)

Post by popodad »

I purchased AMS Prime in 2005 with personal download... But never purchased the monthly support.

About 2 months ago I called AMS and purchased the commercial download module. Sales person was going to call me when it was ready.

The sale person insisted on me buying the monthly support and I said NO.

Today I called them inquiring about the commercial download that they sold me and was told that it was set to go but that they were cancelling all of my downloads with in a week if I didn't buy the monthly support.

CAN THEY SELL YOU A SYSTEM AND THEN REQUIRE THAT YOU BUY SUPPORT?

THANKS, IN ADVANCE...

How can you use a system that is never updated? I don't know anything about various agency management systems, other than the one we use at our company, and it sure seems like they are downloading updates and tweaks to the system on a weekly basis....so would be curious how you could buy a program in 2005 and not expect to update it?

To answer your question, though, my best guess is, sure, they can require you to purchase monthly support. If you don't want to, would suspect you could buy another agency management system that didn't require such monthly updates.
