Ivans problem with National General

I have just talked to National General for a second time. A little over a month ago National General started adding a policy term number onto the end of the policy number when they do IVANs downloads. The separate IVANs download, with the policy information, does NOT have the extra 2 digests. This is causing my QQ agency management program to not match the commission reports up so the reports do not download at all. QQ agency management company says I can either go in and manually change the policy number on ALL the individual Nation General client accounts every 6 months or have National General reprocess their downloads to leaving off the 2 digit term...

***Is anyone else having a issue with their Integon/National General IVANs commission downloads?


If you have had an issue have you called national General (877-468-3466) and reported it?
What did they say to you?
Do you have a ticket number you would share with me?
My ticket number is 10022979.

The National General specialist is assuring me they have only had two calls and they interpreted the calls to say it was an issue but not a problem...

I have talked with IVANS and they indicate that they have not heard this before. National General has not contacted them about this issue.

My agency has learned to log into our IVANS Exchange and report it as a downloading with quality issue on our agency's Connections Report and if others do the same, IVANS will get with National General. There is power in numbers and IVANS will work with agents has been our experience.

We have EZLynx and have the same problem. When we add the policies to the system we have to add 00 to the end of the policy number. Then the policies download fine.

I used to work for QQ product support many years ago. I can tell you that these issues are very common. Companies generally construct the AL3 files to conform to a standard so that all management systems can parse the data. But like in any industry, standards change and are improved upon to include more information that might be valuable to an agent. Insurance companies have no loyalties to management systems (that I know of) so it is up to the management system to adapt.

Like TheinsKid mentioned, there is power in numbers. The more calls these management systems get on any particular issue expedites its resolution.
