I am using the basis ExamFX to study for P and C.
My brain is overwhelmed with the different Dwelling and Homeowners, Comercial policies...What’s included and excluded. Too much information and concerned I won’t get it right. Anyone have a concise way to remember this information? What resources worked for you?

A long time ago when I took the license exam for both P&C and Life, the 'cram' courses taught to 'the test' meaning they didn't dwell on insurance theory or information. The student was just taught the answers to pass the license exam. The schools regularly sent people with great memory to take exams and then recall the questions and answers for various parts of the exam. I doubt if the Department of Insurance ever caught on that the same person showed up regularly to take and flunk an exam, but as a student, it worked just fine, and after obtaining the license, there was plenty of time to learn the nuts and bolts of insurance coverage and theory.

If passing your exam is the goal, then you might be well served to sign up for one of the paid courses. If you're just trying to expand your education in insurance, then, no, there's no easy formula to the learning process.

VRad, I like AD Banker. AD Banker has a list of lightning facts at the end of each chapter which allows the user to debrief each section. The best advice I can give is to take the comprehensive exams over and over until you are scoring in the 80's. This gives you a buffer when you sit for your state exam. Each state is different. You will need to be able to distinguish between a general question "how is it everywhere?" and a state question "how is it in my state?" Pay close attention to those questions which ask "are all of the above, except" this is a trick, because now you need to know which one it is not. Read the question first and make sure you understand what it is asking you and then read all of the answers. This is a very important step, you will sometimes have two right answers. Now you need to identify which of the two is the best answer. Another important fact to remember: statutes make applications representations rather than warranties. A representation is the truth to the best of your knowledge, a warranty is a guarantee. Feel free to reach out to me in the forum as you prepare for your exam and I will help you to the best of my ability. I do not work for AD Banker nor Exam FX. However, I have trained utilizing both vendors.
